Business Cards
Looking at ideas for business cards I did a web search and came across this blog entry of 70 creative business card designs, made from a range of materials from card to metal, wood and even food.
One think that I like about the cards is that they really give you a feel for the business they are there to show for example the food companies have some cards made out of biscuits, chocolate and even meat also the card designs have shapes to look like bites out of the corners and I think something like this makes them a little more stand out from the crowd. All of the designs on this blog appeal to me and they have been obviously well thought through and designed.

This one I think is particularly clever as you can do something with it, the card itself is like a little pouch that contains cress seeds and on the back it has two little illustrations to show you what to do, it takes four days sat in a bowl of water to work so straight away if they do this then you have there attention for that long. I think it's a great idea and gives you more involvement as you might just pick up the card and put it down somewhere and forget about it if it was just another plane piece of card with details on.

Final Logo
This is the final design that I have come up with which I will be using for my project corporation identity, next I will need to apply it to business documents, uniform, livery and extra promotional items

Logo development
Looking back at the bird idea we decided it could work, but it would need refining and simplifying more if possible, so I redrew some of the ideas, when the logo was made smaller the gaps closed up and it became harder to see the outlines so I increased the white spacing between the shapes and this cut down some of the detail making it stronger as a logo idea
